Refunds and Returns
Last updated: {POLICY_DATE}
We want you to be happy with your order. This policy explains your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy, or anywhere else on our site, takes away those rights.
The products we sell must:
- be of acceptable quality: safe, durable, free from defects and of acceptable appearance and finish;
- be fit for any purpose we told you they're suitable for;
- match their description, photos and any sample.
If something is wrong with your item
Contact us at {SUPPORT_EMAIL} with your order number and a short description of the problem. A photo helps us resolve things faster but isn't required. You deal with us; we'll never ask you to contact the manufacturer or our supplier.
Major problem. If the item has a major problem, for example it's unsafe, significantly different from its description, can't do what it's meant to and can't easily be fixed within a reasonable time, or has a problem that would have stopped you buying it if you'd known, you can choose:
- a full refund, or
- a replacement of the same type of item.
You can also choose to keep the item and be compensated for the drop in its value.
Minor problem. If the problem is minor, we'll fix it for free within a reasonable time, by repair, replacement or refund. If we can't or don't fix it within a reasonable time, you can ask for a refund or replacement.
Refunds for faulty items are for the full amount you paid for the item, including the original delivery fee [confirm], and go back to your original payment method unless we agree otherwise.
Returning faulty items. We may ask you to return the item so we can check it, or we may tell you not to. If we ask for it back, we'll send a prepaid return label or reimburse your reasonable return postage once the fault is confirmed (please keep your postage receipt). Original packaging isn't required. We may ask for proof of purchase; your order number is enough.
You may also be entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by a faulty product.
Damaged, wrong or missing items
If your item arrives damaged, you receive the wrong item, or your parcel doesn't arrive, contact us and we'll send a replacement or refund you. See our Shipping Policy for lost parcels.
When the consumer guarantees don't apply
Under the ACL, you're not entitled to a refund, replacement or repair if you:
- simply changed your mind, found it cheaper elsewhere, or decided you didn't like it or have no use for it;
- damaged the item by using it in an unreasonable way; or
- were told about the problem before you bought it.
Change of mind
We don't offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law if your item is faulty, damaged, not as described or not fit for purpose.
Cancellations
You can cancel an order for a full refund if it hasn't been dispatched yet [or: within {CANCEL_WINDOW} of placing it]. Email {SUPPORT_EMAIL} as soon as possible. Once an order is dispatched it can't be cancelled, except for preorder items as explained below.
Preorder items: For preorder items, you can cancel for a full refund at any time before your order is dispatched, or if we miss the dispatch or delivery date we gave you. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
How long refunds take
Once approved, refunds are processed within [X] business days and usually take {REFUND_DAYS} to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
